I’m bored, sleep deprived, listening to an amazing song, and I’m having a whole lot of feels rn, so here, have this unfinished fic. I’ll prolly finish it l8r. whatevs.

Your name is Eridan Ampora, and you are currently questioning whether or not this is going to be a terrible night. You can hear Cronus saying something to you through the door, but you can’t quite make out what it is. Probably something about hurrying up, you think. So you do hurry. You comb through your hair one last time, before opening the door and begging to dart out of the bathroom, accidentally running into Cronus on your way out. “What the hell, Cro?!” “Sorry, chief  Didn’t know you were comin’ outta there so soon. My bad.” He has a smirk on his face, and you know he’s not really sorry. That’s okay though, because you aren’t either. “Whatever, c’mon, lets go get this stupid thing over with,” you say in a low growl, pushing him out of the way and walking past him with an annoyed huff. “Oh come on, it’s not gonna be that bad! Gimme a chance, Eri!” “Yeah, sure it won’t, ” you say, voice heavy with sarcasm. He catches up to you and offers an arm. “Shall we?” You simply roll your eyes and hook your arm with his. Yeah, this night is going to be terrible. You just know it. You both make your way out the door, arm in arm. “Where are we even goin’?” “Well, I was plannin’ on takin’ ya somewhere special.” “If you say so.” You both continue walking for a while, making small talk, occasionally asking about his friends and his life, and him occasionally asking about your life, when eventually you get to a spot and he covers your eyes. “What are you-?!” “Shh, just trust me. I’m leading you somewhere. It’s gotta be a surprise.” You just sigh, and follow where he leads you. You continue doing this for a few minutes, before he stops. “Are we there yet?” “Mmmhm.” He takes his hands off of your eyes and places them on his hips, smiling proudly. You look around and observe your surroundings. You appear to be on a small hill, overlooking a lake that appears to be full of small creatures that give off an iridescent glow. There is a single, small tree on the hill, just a few feet away from you. You hate to admit it, but Cronus did a pretty good job at setting up dates. Maybe this night wouldn’t be so bad after all. “So, whaddya think?” “It’s..It’s really beautiful,” you reply with a smile. Your response makes him beam with happiness. “I’m glad ya like it. I hoped you would. It’s one a my best memories from my life back on Beforus. I used to come here a whole lot, just to sit here an play my music. No one ever bugged me up here. It’s real peaceful, an  I figured that was the stuff you were into.” You are legitimately surprised. “Well, yeah, I am. I really like it when it’s peaceful. It gives me time to think an it’s really relaxin’.” He grabs your hand and walks over to the tree and sits down, patting the ground next to him. You sit down a few inches away from him, not wanting to get too close. “So..You used to play music up here?” “As crazy as it may sound, yeah, I did. I still do from time to time.” “What kind of music did you play?” “Eh, just a few of my own tracks.” “You write music?” “Yeah, of course. It’s just a real good way to express my feelings an shit.” “That’s actually really cool,” you admit, because you are actually very interested in the subject. “Heh, thanks. Most people don’t wanna listen to my music. I think they’re scared of it or somethin’.” “Well that’s just fuckin’ stupid. I’m sure your music isn’t that bad.” “Thanks for thinkin’ that, but everyone else doesn’t really wanna give me the time of day. But hey, enough about me. Why don’t you tell me about stuff you used to do on Alternia?” You hesitate for a moment. Alternia was nothing like Beforus. On Beforus, everyone could actually leave their hives without the fear of getting killed. “Well..I..I kinda just stayed in my hive the whole time. Alternia was a whole lot different than Beforus..Beforus was much safer. Alternia was just dangerous.” You frown a little at the painful memories, and Cronus notices and paps you. “Well, that’s too bad. No need to get sad about it, though. It’s all over now, an’ we’re supposed to be having fun on this date, right?” You smile a little. It was nice to have someone re-assure you, even if it was Cronus.
